Terms of Service

Last updated: October 12, 2026

These terms govern your purchase and use of BatchDoc ("the Software"). By buying or using the Software you agree to them.

1. What you are buying

BatchDoc is a desktop application sold as a one-time purchase. A Single licence covers one computer. A Team licence covers up to five computers. The licence is perpetual: it does not expire and there is no recurring charge.

2. Licence

Your purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Software on the number of computers covered by your licence. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, rent, or publish the Software, nor make it available to others as a service.

3. Refunds

Because the Software is delivered digitally, all sales are final except as described here. If the Software fails to perform as described on our website, contact us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you. Refunds are not available for change of mind after this window, or where the limitation is one we state openly in advance — for example, PDFs that contain only images (scanned documents) require OCR, which is not included.

4. Your documents stay on your machine

The Software runs locally. Documents you process are not uploaded to us, and we do not receive or store them. You are responsible for having the right to process any document you run through the Software, and for any output you produce from it.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Software to process material you have no lawful right to process, to infringe anyone's intellectual property, or for any unlawful purpose.

6. No guarantee of accuracy

Automated extraction from PDFs is not perfectly reliable. Layouts vary and results can be incomplete or wrong. You must review output before relying on it, particularly for financial, legal or regulatory purposes. The Software is a tool to speed up work, not a substitute for checking it.

7. Warranty and liability

The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of your use of the Software shall not exceed the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost data or lost profit.

8. Updates

Licence purchases include future updates to the same major version. We may add, change or remove features over time. We do not promise any specific future feature.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published here applies from the date shown above. Continued use of the Software after a change constitutes acceptance.
